About the book
“Twenty Two Tapirs” is the first adventure book in the “Children’s Books for Adults” series.
Why did we choose this slogan? Because we respect childhood and do not want to look down on it. We don’t want to make children’s books simple, let alone simplified. And at the same time, being adults, we want to feel again the romance of adventure books that we have known since childhood. When friends are the most loyal and enemies are the fiercest. When the unknown attracts more than scares. When there is good and evil, and there are no semitones!
Therefore, our main goal is to create an adventure book that is equally interesting for both children and their parents. And in general, to any reader, regardless of age.
Only you can decide whether it was successful.
So the first book is about the unexplored lands that still remain in South America. And about amazing animals – tapirs, who live there, in the impenetrable slums of the Amazon forests. There are only twenty-two of them, which in itself is unusual. Tapirs do not gather in flocks, they are solitary in nature. But this is not the only thing that can cause surprise. Common tapirs may seem timid and timid inhabitants of the jungle with funny proboscis. These same twenty-twos, although they do their best to make people perceive them as such, are in fact the complete opposite of their clumsy relatives… And therefore it is extremely important for them to avoid any attention, even casual. Because people should not get any chance to learn too much about them. After all, then humanity will be able to reveal the secret that they have kept for centuries. A mystery that can overturn the idea of evolution and the birth of mind on the planet…

Eya
Eya is one of the main characters of the book and the only cub among the tapirs of the Group. She invented this name herself. The other tapirs call her Novenka. So, according to ancient traditions, they name each new cub, which is born once every few decades. Eya must absorb what is the meaning of the Group's existence - "Knowledge". That's how tapirs call the huge amount of skills, abilities and information about the surrounding world, which were accumulated by their ancestors over many thousands of years. Therefore, Eia's survival and safety is now the Group's most important task, otherwise the thin thousand-year-old thread that connects all generations of tapirs may be broken. Especially since Eya is the most unusual cub ever born among tapirs...

Eva is an eleven-year-old girl who lives with her father, a professor of biology, in the suburbs of Madrid. But she is not a native Spaniard. The blood of South American Indians flows in her. And her greatest desire is to visit the place where she was born. And one day she gets such a chance. Harpy
Harpy is a connecting Bird. The ancient Indians gave it the name Moan, the Bird of the Gods. Modern people call it "harpy eagle", or simply "harpy". It is the largest bird of prey in the jungle. He is not afraid of anyone, and he has no natural enemies. That is why the ancient tapirs chose harpies as their companions. They have been helping them for thousands of years. Because no one can stop them from delivering the message. It is extremely difficult to catch a bound Bird. After all, these are not ordinary harpies. They have accompanied tapir scouts since ancient times and also pass on their experience from generation to generation. But tapirs are not their masters, and they are not their servants. These are friends. They fly in and help only of their own free will. Tapirs never command them, only ask. When a new tapir becomes a scout, one of the Birds brings him a chick. And from that moment on, they are connected for life.
